It’s Time To Buy Stocks Online
With all the years that I’ve been doing this, now is the time to buy stocks online, now is the time to really start looking the balance sheets of the companies that you want to invest in. If you have more than ten years before you’ll need the money, then you need to invest at this time. The stock market is down from it’s high of 14300 by about 45%. With that in mind, you should realize that in five to ten years the markets could quite easily be at those levels again if not higher.
After the last drop in the market several years ago, I’ve been waiting for this to happen again so I can take advantage of the bargains of stocks selling for what should be a lot higher.
Take into consideration that when the markets are at there lows (like they are now) they do tend to make short rallies that make the average investor or trader think that the worse is behind us, but in most cases it’s not the case. After a run-up in the markets during a bad economy, the markets pull back to test the previous lows. It also happens because others are taking their profits before the price per share drops down again.
During that time the strategy of buying and holding is not the best way to make some great gains. If you have at least a decade before the money will be needed and you’re not savvy with the stock market, then that method is probably the one for you. If you are an experienced trader, then you can make more money by being more of a trader. Looking for stocks that will have a jump in price because of one reason or another.
One of our reader, Samuel Trotman, asked if buying and holding would be good for him. First I like to say that only he can answer that question and make that decision for himself. With the technology boom that has changed the way business is done across the globe, one unintended result has been the rise of day trading. Day trading is a risky and stressful way to buy stocks online and it involves buying stock and selling it within one days time. It’s thought that if this is done enough time, with the right foresight and financial advice, that a person can make quite a lot of money each day. Back before the computer age allowed instant stock buying and selling, the financial settlement period use to take much, much longer. It was possible to buy a stock, and not have to pay for it for another 10 business days. It was common practice in those days to try to sell the stock for more than it was worth before you had to pay for it in an attempt to make a profit. Many traders who had no actual money of their own would make their livings this way, and it’s obvious how dangerous this was.
A day trader has many different strategic options that he or she can follow to try to make a profit. The first is trend following. This is a tool that is used by all investors and its simply the idea that stocks that have been going up will continue to go up and stocks that have been going down will continue to go down. Obviously, this isn’t always the case, which makes trend following a dangerous method to base all of your day trading investments on.
Range trading is another tool used by day traders. This is the practice of buying and selling stocks once they reach their respective highs and lows. The trader figures that a stock that is headed up will continue to go up, but only until it reaches a new high, and then it’s due to go back down. The same is thought for stocks headed the other way. Once they reach a brand new low, they tend to rebound and head back up.
Playing news is another common tool of the day trader. The technique is exactly what it sounds like, buying stock that has just released good news and selling stock that has just released bad news. While none of these techniques are guaranteed, day trading is increasing in popularity every year, and while the potential for significant loss is very real, many continue to walk the tightrope that is day trading.

Green Funds
There is a lot of thoughts and ideas going around the world today about living and buying green which means to stick with the products, companies, and organizations that are for saving our planet. This type of thinking has also gone into major markets such as the stock market. Most of the Green Funds that you will find are small funds, but they are still on top in today’s market due to the fact that they focus on the green technology that is growing on a daily basis. People should definitely invest in the environment because this is what is our future and these funds are out there waiting for anyone to invest in them. There are many types of these funds that you can invest in that have to do with helping the environment and alternative energy and it is these funds that have sustainable practices.
