Before selling any stock market shares, be sure to research and gather as much information on your shares as possible. Once I bought some stock shares and then, a couple of weeks later, realized what I wanted my long-term stock-trading strategy to be, and this stock does not fit my strategy. Mainly want to see company information, market information, and expert opinions. This way you can determine which stocks to sell, when to sell them, and at what price to sell them for.

When I was 21, I invested some money into a stock and then forgot all about it. Big mistake! I should have watched Fox News and listened to the best stocks. Had I known then what I know now I'd be RICH!

Now, I look at the best selling stocks and the length of the company's business reputation. Most importantly, how steady the stock is which a particular company over a 6 month period. If it's up and down, I steer clear.

One factor I WILL over look is if it's a new business and I think in my heart that it will take off (ie; Microsoft), I will take a chance and it has paid off numerous times for me with several different companies. Not a lot of $, but worth my investment. Great article!

I have never been involved in the stock market but as times are hard and money is short, I have had an interest in the stock market for the last 10 years ever since 9/11. I listen to co-workers talking about what stocks they are putting their money into and which ones are making the most profit/loss and take those ideas to heart and eventually, I too wiil be investing in the stock market in hopes of a great retirement and large profit. I think I will invest in anything to do with computers as someday, our world will function solely on computers.

As for selling stock shares, I would be afraid to do so in this day in age as mentioned the economy is horrible, but as time goes by, I'm sure I will be interested in buing AND selling. Just not today. Great article and very knowledgeable.

I always research to find the company that is the best in its field.

I also look at the history of the company and see if they is a large amounts of rising and falling in the value of the shares. Because if there is then I know that my money may not be as safe as I would think at first.

When selling I would research into the peaks that the company has had before so I know the value that it usually peaks at, this way I know I will get the most out my investment

I have always been interested in the stock market investment idea but have never pursued it. I find this article to be rather clear, simple and straightforward. I do watch some local stock market related programs and watch a bit of the local news report but without really understanding much of it. A local competition here for young people who compete against each other to see who does well on the stock market has always intrigued me. This is a competition which builds the young peoples knowledge and confidence to enter into stockmarket investment.

Before buying or selling stock shares, I always look a few factors that ultimately make the decision for me. I look at how established the company is, because if its brand new, I’m not going to spend as much money on the stocks as I would buying a lot of stock in an established company. I’m also going to research similar companies and see how they did in a projected amount of time and compare it to the company stock in which I’m considering investing. If it’s likely to keep going up, I’ll buy. If it’s looking like it might fizzle out, I’ll sell. I’m also going to see if anyone I know has owned any stock in the company before and how it has done in the past to see if those patterns may repeat with my stock in the future.
